The comprehensive course outline contained herein is designed to add critical skills and concepts to augment and increase a Standard – Intermediate First Aid level training session to include BLS, Tactical Care Rescue and EMRT. These enhanced assessments, procedures and skill sets will enable trained personnel to effectively manage and treat numerous pre-hospital traumatic and medical conditions prior to the arrival of professional health care team members. This program teaches a patient assessment model, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, hemorrhage control, and care for a variety of acute medical and traumatic conditions. Training techniques including skills demonstrations, discussions, practice sessions and video/media presentations with scenarios based on actual real-life situations will engage participants in a dynamic learning environment. The program also addresses the following issues from protection – intervention -management models. Strategies and tactics self and team protection involving threats, hazards, and use of force incidents. First responders related issues deadly bleeding from various weapons attacks, substance abuse and harm from drugs and alcohol. Conflict, confrontation and crisis management and Persons in crisis including mental illness and to mental health including understanding stress, trauma, and marginalization.

The training prepares students to make decisions on whether injuries are serious or not, improvise equipment, provide life-saving treatments, and assist those who have more training.
Our Wilderness First Aid/ Standard First Aid with CPR and AED for Remote Locations course differs significantly from standard first aid courses and other training that are oriented toward urban environments.

Rescue 7 Inc.’s Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) is a comprehensive training session designed for those individuals who are called to be the first rescuers on the scene of an emergency.
The program reflects the latest advances in first aid and CPR. EMR provides primary rescuers with the information and skills they need to respond to medical emergencies with confidence and care.

Participants in this course will gain enough knowledge to be able to stabilize emergency situations in the “field” (pre-hospital) environment. The course is designed for lifeguards, security personnel, teachers, fitness instructors, health and safety committee members, designated workplace first aid team members, volunteer firefighters, internal EMS personnel, firefighters, and wilderness and camp instructors.
