Weekly Review: Oct 31st-Nov 6th

Many thanks to the Dave Mounsey Memorial Fund for such a fantastic night this past Saturday. “Dancing With The Stars of 911” was a huge success — the dancers sponsored by Rescue 7 came in 3rd place! Rescue 7 also accepted a plaque signifying the achievement of PLATINUM level sponsorship!

An oldie but a goodie… Remember when CEO John Collie was interviewed by the Globe and Mail regarding first aid illiteracy?

“John Collie is familiar with emergencies.

In his past life as a firefighter, he would respond to calls at offices and factories to see dozens of bystanders “just watching some poor person on the floor, doing nothing.”

Maybe, he thought back in 1998, he could encourage more people to respond to emergency situations. And who better to educate the public, he realized, than the front-line responders who do that work every single day?”
