Weekly Review: July 25th-31st

EXCITING NEWS: One of our Instructors – Jennifer Wagner – was just hired for the position of Firefighter with Markham Fire Service! Jennifer has been teaching with us for almost three years and also did Event Staffing for us as a First Responder.  We congratulate her and Markham is lucky to have such great talent come on board.  Rescue 7 can’t wait for her to finish her probationary training so she can work for us again once she settles in.

We are super excited to sponsor a hole at the 3rd Annual Charity Golf Tournament for Community & Home Assistance to Seniors! To learn more, or to snag a foursome, head to the CHATS website. Screen Shot 2016-08-02 at 11.42.38 AM

Attached is an article written by Frank Backx. Frank was saved by a Dave Mounsey Memorial Fund x Rescue 7 defibrillator (27th – Fire Cpt. Don Willis) at the BMO Centre in April 2014.  He counts the day he was saved by our AED as his new birthday.  Patrick and the DMMF has donated over 55 AEDs to date; Rescue 7 supplies the defibrillators and sponsors many of the DMMF’s events including Dancing with the Stars. We are proud to be working with them!
