Weekly Review: March 6th-12th

Did you know that Rescue 7 Inc. was the official health and safety training partner of the Ontario Soccer Summit 2017?

“This was a very successful 2017 event and truly a coming out celebration for our new Ontario Soccer brand,” said Johnny Misley, Executive Director. “The delegates who are committed to their own personal development really embraced the mantra Play, Inspire and Unite over the course of the weekend and it really sets the high water mark for future Ontario Soccer Summits.”

Save the life of someone choking LifeVac is a suction apparatus developed for resuscitating a choking victim when standard current choking protocol has been followed without success. It is designed with a patent pending one way valve. This valve prevents air from pushing food or objects downward which creates a one-way suction to
remove the obstruction and clear the airway of a choking victim. The LifeVac comes with two mask sizes, medium and large.

  • No prescription required
  • Not intended for use on persons under 40 pounds

A company can incur major fines if it fails to satisfy its obligations under the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) in regard to workplace violence and harassment. In February 2017, a security company failed to do so and was required to pay a total of $87,500 in fees to the Ministry of Labour. As an employer, are you sure your company is satisfying all the necessary requirements? Have you updated your mandates to include the added provisions from September 2016?

If you are unsure about how to answer such questions, call Rescue 7 at 905-474-0770 and we can help you get back on track.
