Rescue 7 Weekly Review: July 6th-12th
John McEachern, father of the late Chase McEachern, is keeping Chase’s dream alive by partnering with Rescue 7. The aim is providing all sports facilities across Ontario with Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs). A video and section on our website (www.rescue7.net) will be available soon to outline the details of this partnership. However, the details of John’s first fundraising event are live and outlined below; Rescue 7 is very excited for the day at the races!
The event is scheduled to take place on Friday, August 28 at Woodbine Racetrack. For the cost of $4,500, each group will get a lunch for ten (10), betting vouchers, valet parking, race programs, a silent auction table and possibly a visit from Sandy Hawley. The first 10 companies or groups to reply will have their logo on a blanket that will be presented to the winner in the winner’s circle (one of the 10 races that day). Participating companies will also get an AED in their name donated to a sports field. There is also room for individuals to join for lunch, and enjoy the races from the VIP tent. Rescue 7 is also excited and proud to announce our sponsorship of the 2nd annual CHATS (Community & Home Assistance to Seniors) charity golf tournament on September 14th, 2015. It will take place at Silver Lakes Golf and Conference Centre. Launched in 1980 by a caring group of community members, CHATS originated as a grassroots not-for-profit charitable organization that provided a few basic services to help seniors to continue living in their own homes. Over the years, CHATS has grown and evolved, and now offers a full range of home care and community programs that meet the changing needs of more than 7,300 York Region and South Simcoe seniors and caregivers each year.
