Physio-Control developed this unique Battery Charger Kit for their LIFEPAK CR Plus and Express AEDs. The permanent battery is inside the AED. This CHARGE-PAK Battery system, once installed, is internally linked to the AED and cannot be removed and installed in another device. The CHARGE-PAK would need to be discharged, discarded and replaced.

When the CHARGE-PAK™ Battery Charger is installed, it begins charging the AED’s internal battery. A full charge may take from a few days to a few weeks. While the battery is charging, the AED Readiness Display shows the “Caution”! symbol. The display will switch to “OK” when the battery is almost fully charged, but continues to ready full capacity. If temperatures are below 32 degrees F the battery may not charge. When charging is complete, the Caution symbol will turn off and the AED will be ready to deliver 6 shocks or provide 42 minutes of “on” time. It may take up to 3 days to fully charge the battery after use.
