National Workplace First Aid Training Approvals
Rescue 7 Inc. provides training that meets Provincial and Federal Workplace Requirements for certified first aiders across Canada.
Our first aid programs are designed to help employers and learners access approved first aid training with confidence, available in both English and French.
CSA Standards Compliance
All courses are designed to comply with the current Canadian Standards Association (CSA) Z1210-17/24 Standard for first aid training, where applicable.
We continue to monitor regulatory updates and industry standards to help ensure our training remains aligned with current workplace requirements.

Important Program & Certification Information
Will existing first aid certificates remain valid?
Existing Emergency and Standard First Aid certificates issued by approved first aid training providers prior to updated program changes remain valid until their expiry date.
Upon expiry, learners may be required to complete updated training requirements in accordance with current provincial or regulatory guidelines.
Are first aid course names changing under updated CSA standards?
Under updated CSA terminology:
- Basic First Aid is equivalent to Emergency First Aid
- Intermediate First Aid is equivalent to Standard First Aid
Employers and workers will continue to meet applicable workplace first aid requirements through approved equivalent training levels.
Additional Compliance Information

Basic Marine First Aid (BMFA): Courses are designed to meet applicable Transport Canada marine first aid requirements.
- Certificate Validity: Workplace first aid certificates are generally valid for 3 years unless otherwise specified by the governing authority or employer requirements. Annual CPR/AED refreshers are recommended to help maintain skill confidence.
