This course was developed in accordance with recommendations set forth in CSA standards Z462 – Workplace Electrical Safety and Z460-13 Control of Hazardous Energy - Lockout and Other Methods.

This course is designed to ensure employers, management, and workers understand the hazards that are associated with controlled energy and the proper methods of controlling energy through a properly developed and implemented lockout program. The session will cover the legal requirements surrounding the lockout of equipment, potential consequences of not following the procedure, and how to create and maintain a written workplace lockout tagout program.

Online and in-class training options available.

Who Can Benefit From This Course

Employees who are required to de-energize and lockout equipment of various types prior to removing guards, dismantling and performing work on the equipment. Supervisors are responsible for such work.
