Notice of Update to Ontario Traffic Manual Book 7 – Temporary Conditions

On May 16, 2022 the Ontario Ministry of Transportation announced the release of an updated Ontario Traffic Manual Book 7 – Temporary Conditions (new revised 2022). Electronic versions of the office and field editions are available for download now, and print versions will be available in the future. We are currently schedule training programs will be referencing the 2022 edition of the OTM Book 7 (Orange Book).

Rescue 7 Inc. offers traffic control training based on the Ontario Traffic Manual (OTM) Book 7 – Temporary Conditions, in combination with our own procedures and policies, to provide a more complete look into traffic control and the many factors involved with its implementation.

Our training courses offer more than just OTM Book 7 minimums, but give your staff a real sense of how to plan, set up, organize and maintain temporary traffic control. The course will provide a look at the theory behind the way things are done and offer new ideas that your staff may not have considered previously. Liability and risk management are also a big issue in the industry and we teach your people how to address and plan for these two, potentially costly issues.

Many staff are required to perform their work in work zones in and among live lanes of traffic. There are a number of specific legislative requirements in the Occupational Health & Safety Act, Ontario Regulation 213/91 Construction Projects and in the Highway Traffic Act related to work performed on or about roadways, of which workers must be aware. This course highlights those requirement

Who Can Benefit From This Course

Any construction project that takes place on or alongside a public roadway may implement traffic control measures in order to keep its workers, as well as the general public, safe.
