We provide training at your facility on a wide range of issues relating to occupational health & safety for employees, supervisors and managers.
Rescue 7 Inc’s CPO-approved Working at Height program includes the basic information about how to work at heights safely, as well as practical application of skills. The course involves classroom instruction and hands-on exposure to some common equipment. This program is specifically designed to the Ontario Working at Heights Training Standard.
This program is aimed to provide overall knowledge of health and safety within all workplaces. Every Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) must have at least two Certified members: one representing workers and one from management. One worker and one management designated JHSC member must complete Part One and Part Two of the Training to become a Certified Member by the WSIB. This course is CPO-approved.

This course will introduce and define terms associated with workplace violence and harassment. It will offers a well-rounded approach to prevention of many workplace violence incidents and sets the foundations upon which an effective workplace violence, harassment and bullying prevention program can be established. The Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) requires employers to develop, implement and maintain policies and programs regarding workplace violence and harassment (WVH). Rescue 7 Inc.’s STOP HARM & VIOLENCE course was developed in compliance with the new provincial government OHSA regulations of Bill 168 and Bill 132. This program is aimed to reduce the possibility of injury/death and increase the safety of employees during a fire or emergency situation, through the education of workers designated as “fire/floor” wardens. Designed for Fire/Floor Wardens, Emergency Response Team Members, Internal Fire Brigades and all individuals responsible for ensuring safety of workers and the workplace in an emergency situation.
Fall Protection / Fall Arrest training program provides workers with the basic knowledge required to work safely in areas exposed to fall hazards. It is intended for any worker who at times be required to work at heights or on lift equipment where fall protection is required. This program provides workers with the required knowledge to prevent fall related accidents, how to select the proper fall protection components for their application and how to correctly use, inspect and maintain their fall protection system.
Confined space entry is a hazardous and highly regulated activity. Confined space training is a requirement of the confined space regulations (Regulation 632/05). All industry sectors with confined spaces need training on the legal requirements and how to safely work within them. When an incident happens in a confined space, it often results in one or more fatalities. Our course provides participants with the information they require to establish an effective confined space program. This helps employers meet their legal duties and prevent costly incidents. This course is designed to ensure employers, management, and workers understand the hazards that are associated with controlled energy and the proper methods of controlling energy through a properly developed and implemented lockout program. Online and in class training options available.
Many staff are required to perform their work in work zones in and amongst live lanes of traffic. There are a number of specific legislative requirements in the Occupational Health & Safety Act, Ontario Regulation 213/91 Construction Projects and in the Highway Traffic Act related to work performed on or about roadways, of which workers must be aware. This course highlights those requirements.
