Weekly Review: May 30th-Jun 5th

We were snap’d! Thanks so much to snapd Barrie for coming to our Free CPR/AED Demo day by Rescue 7 Inc.!

“Being able to save a person’s life is something everyone should know. Thank you to Rescue 7 and special guest speaker, MP Alex Nuttall for giving people the chance to learn at the FREE AED/CPR Demo Day. Participants were given great hands on training on how to perform CPR, as well as how to use an AED device (Automated External Defibrillator). Two sessions were held Georgian Chevrolet in Barrie with The Butcher Shop serving up a delicious BBQ lunch. Donations were going to the Chase McEachern Memorial Fund to help keep Chase’s dream alive of having an AED in every school, hockey arena and essentially, in every public place. To date, the fund has been able to provide over 12,000 AEDs in schools and other community venues. For information and how to donate please visit www.rescue7.net

A Toronto property management firm has been charged in a recent fatal high-rise fire for failure to train staff on the building’s fire safety plan. A well-prepared fire safety plan is critical for use by firefighters, and onsite building supervisory staff. If you or someone you know needs to devise a fire safety plan (they are not just for high rises, but also family homes, cottages, businesses, etc.!), Rescue 7 offers Fire Warden Training, Fire Plans and several evacuation products. For more info, call us at 905-474-0770.
